Zac Estrada is a freelance writer, editor and content strategist currently based in Southern California.
Most recently, Zac was a staff writer for Jalopnik, Gawker Media’s automotive site. Previously, Zac was a digital content producer for Scripps-owned Ventura County Star and an editorial intern at Streetwise Media’s BostInno. His work has also appeared on Boston.com, Edmunds and Cars Direct. He also maintains a car blog, Confessions of an Autoholic.
As a reporter in Santa Barbara, Calif., Zac was awarded with a California Newspaper Publishers Association award for Local Breaking News Coverage.
He is a graduate of Northeastern University’s School of Journalism and spent a month in Cuba studying photography through the university’s Dialogue of Civilizations program. Zac also attended Santa Barbara City College.
Zac served as News Editor for The Huntington News, Northeastern’s student-run, independent weekly newspaper. At Santa Barbara City College, he was an editor for The Channels newspaper and part of a staff that received the 2009 Associated Collegiate Press’ Pacemaker Award for both print and online publications.
