Zac Estrada is a Boston-based writer.
His work has been featured on the Gawker Media website Jalopnik, Boston.com, Edmunds.com and CarsDirect. Zac was an editorial intern at startup Streetwise Media in Boston and a content producer for the Ventura County Star, managing the daily newspaper’s online platforms. He has covered politics and business for the Santa Barbara Independent, Pacific Coast Business Times and Noozhawk, and maintains a car blog, Confessions of an Autoholic.
As a reporter in Santa Barbara, Calif., he was awarded with a California Newspaper Publishers Association award for Local Breaking News Coverage.
He is a graduate of Northeastern University’s School of Journalism and spent a month in Cuba studying photography through the university’s Dialogue of Civilizations program. Zac also attended Santa Barbara City College.
Zac served as News Editor for The Huntington News, Northeastern’s student-run, independent weekly newspaper. At Santa Barbara City College, he was an editor for The Channels newspaper and part of a staff that received the 2009 Associated Collegiate Press’ Pacemaker Award for both print and online publications.
